Singleton C.E. Primary School is a happy and caring community in which good manners, excellent behaviour and a desire to continuously improve and learn are expected from everybody. Pupil Premium is allocated on the current number of children on free school meals and 'ever 6' (children identified as being free school meals in the last six years).

Nature of support 2013/14

·         employment/training of Reading Recovery teacher

·         purchase of additional equipment (dictionaries, laptop)

·         employment of additional teaching assistant


In addition, support is tailored to the individual needs of the student. Students may be offered:

•learning support

•1-1 and small group study to aid learning

•pastoral support

•small group reading support

•play therapy sessions

•financial support for equipment, residential, etc ...


Measuring the impact of PPG spending

Singleton Primary School will:

•measure the impact of the interventions by tracking the progress of the pupil premium pupils on a termly basis.

•measure the success of pupils at the end of EYF, KS1 and KS2 relative to their school targets, FFTD targets and against threshold measures.

•monitor and support pupils in accessing pastoral support and discuss their progress and needs regularly.
