The School and its grounds

The school was opened in 1964. It has a central hall and three main teaching areas. There is a school library which is also used for small group teaching. The hall is equipped with PE apparatus. Willow and Beech class bases have their own secure entrances, cloakrooms and toilet areas. There is an office, a Headteacher’s office and a staff room. At the rear of the hall is the Levin Room, which is used by Singleton Playschool (which is separately managed) and as a kitchen for cooking school meals.

The school is set in an idyllic location, with wonderful views over the adjoining Levin Down nature reserve. In the playground area there are picnic benches and an activity/fitness trail, a tyre park, as well as a willow dome. The large field has a running track as well as football and rounders pitches. There is a poly tunnel and two raised beds used for growing vegetables to promote our healthy school policy.
